Eoghan Barry joined RJD in 2017 as an Investment Analyst. He previously worked as a Research Associate for Third Bridge where he managed projects for Private Equity and Hedge Fund clients. He also completed an internship with Polaris Partners, a Venture Capital fund based out of Boston.
Eoghan holds a BA in History and Philosophy from The University of Sheffield and a MSc in Finance from Trinity College, Dublin.
IT services and leisure & consumer services
Frank joined RJD in 2007 and is a member of RJD’s Investment Committee.
He previously worked in corporate finance for both Livingstone Partners and Close Brothers where he worked on a wide range of private equity transactions.
He is a chartered accountant having qualified with KPMG.
At RJD, Frank has led the buyout of Intrinsic and the management buy-in Verdant Leisure and also worked on the investment and subsequent successful exit of Teaching Personnel. He works across a variety of sectors and leads RJD’s investment activity within IT services.
Frank is a director of Intrinsic.
Leisure & consumer services
Richard is a founding partner of RJD Partners and a member of the Investment Committee.
Richard has previously worked at Touche Ross (now Deloitte) where he qualified as a chartered accountant; Samuel Montagu (now HSBC Investment Bank); Legal & General Ventures; and Royal Bank Private Equity.
Richard is a director of ISG Technology, Verdant Leisure and Chemigraphic.
He also led RJD’s successful exits of Teaching Personnel, Ipes and Academy Music Group.
Richard leads RJD’s investment activity in the leisure & consumer services sector and has led or been involved with many deals, including the buyouts of Verdant Leisure, Emprise Services, European Boating Holidays, GB Holiday Parks and Hayley Conference Centres.
Richard graduated from Oxford University in Engineering Science.
Kasun De Silva
Kasun joined RJD in 2016 as Finance Director from Investindustrial where he was head of fund accounting and a member of the valuations committee, having previously worked at 3i as a member of the portfolio monitoring team.
Prior to this he worked at Augentius Fund Administration and PwC.
Kasun is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and graduated from Warwick University with an honours degree in Engineering and Business Studies.
John is a founding partner of RJD Partners and a member of the Investment Committee.
John was previously at Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young); North West Regional Fund Limited; Lloyds Development Capital; and Royal Bank Private Equity.
He began his career in 1982 at Crossley Sharrock, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
John is a director of Harrington Brooks, Stone Group, Intrinsic Technology and Barber of Sheffield. He led RJD’s successful exits from Raphael Healthcare and Character World, amongst others.
Emily joined RJD in 2015 from KPMG, where she was a Manager in the Turnaround, Transformation and Liquidity team. Her role involved the provision of financial and operational advice to underperforming and distressed businesses. She has also worked in Transaction Services focusing on financial due diligence and Corporate Finance, with a specialism in project finance advisory and modelling.
At RJD, Emily has worked on the buyout of Barber of Sheffield and is an observer on the boards of Barber and Burgess Marine. She provides support for RJD’s investment activity across all sectors.
Emily holds a BA (Hons) from The University of Nottingham and is a Chartered Accountant.
David is a founding partner and chairman of RJD Partners and chairman of the Investment Committee. David is also responsible for investor relations.
Previously at Arthur Young McClelland Moores (now Ernst & Young), where he qualified as a chartered accountant, and Murray Johnstone.
David read Commerce at the University of Edinburgh. David is a former member of the Council of the BVCA and past Chairman of the Regional Committee of the BVCA.
David is a director of J&J Denholm Limited, deputy chairman of John Laing Infrastructure Fund Limited and a Trustee of Glasgow’s Burrell Collection.
Executive Assistant/Office Manager
Sophie joined RJD in January 2016 after leaving SilverDoor where she worked as the PA to the Managing Director.
Sophie is now the Office Manager for the RJD office and also EA to the team.
Hugo joined RJD from PwC’s Transaction Services Group where he was a Senior Associate in the Strategy team.
His role included the provision of commercial due diligence and strategic recommendations to a range of private equity and corporate clients including Inflexion, KKR, Towergate Insurance and HSS Hire.
At RJD Hugo has worked on the buyout of Babington and supports the investment in Harrington Brooks.
Hugo qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC and is a graduate of Newcastle University.
Jill joined RJD Partners in October 2007 from PwC Corporate Finance, where she completed a number of deals as a buy-side adviser to private equity, in a variety of sectors including leisure and specialist distribution.
At RJD, Jill has worked on the buyouts of Intrinsic, Chemigraphic and Stone Group and is involved with portfolio companies ISG Technology and Stone Group. Jill played a key role in RJD’s successful exits of Ipes and Raphael Healthcare.
Jill leads RJD’s investment activity in the support services sector.
Jill qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC after graduating in Philosophy and Modern Languages from St John’s College, Oxford University. She also holds a Masters in English Literature from the Open University.
