Improve International appoints William Macpherson as non-executive Chairman

RJD portfolio company Improve International, a global provider of continuing education to the veterinary sector, has appointed William Macpherson as non-executive Chairman.

William Macpherson has had a highly successful career in leadership within the Education sector and has broad experience of working in partnership with a number of private equity firms. Most recently in his executive career, Macpherson spent eleven years as CEO of QA, scaling it significantly to become the UK’s leading digital and IT education and skills provider and delivering a successful sale from Englefield Capital / Bregal to CVC Capital in June 2017.

Macpherson will work closely with the management team, using his skills and experience to help them realise their plans to develop the customer proposition, accelerate the rollout of the digital and blended delivery model and continue the Company’s successful global expansion.

RJD Partners (“RJD”), the UK Private Equity investor, backed the management buyout of Improve International in June 2020 led by Chief Executive, Heber Alves. Since then, the Company has also appointed a Chief Financial Officer and a Global Head of Marketing to support its ambitious growth agenda.
