Intrinsic Technology

We invested in the £30 million buyout of Intrinsic Technology in July 2011. Intrinsic designs, supplies and implements voice, data and virtualised environments and provides ongoing contracted maintenance and managed services for a range of customers in both the private and public sectors. These services can be provided on a business’ premises, hosted or through the Cloud.

The company is based in Haydock, Lancashire with other offices in the City of London, Thames Valley and Glasgow.

Intrinsic has developed strategic alliances and tier 1 accreditations with a number of the industry’s major players, including Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft and HP. It has achieved its strong market position through its commitment to customer service, its flexibility and its high responsiveness to market developments.

We recognised that Intrinsic presented a strong investment opportunity because of its historic growth track record and its forward-looking approach to this dynamic but fragmented market.

Our sector knowledge, combined with our ability to be decisive on structure at an early stage and then deliver on this, were key to securing the opportunity.
