Britain’s evolving leisure industry is a key focus for us at RJD. Leisure is central to individual and household spending and, across the cycle, an ever higher proportion is being allocated to recreation of one sort or another, particularly in the domestic market.
The most successful businesses in the leisure sector are innovators, with a natural grasp of precisely what their customers are looking for and the price they are prepared to pay for it.

We always seek a number of valuable qualities in the leisure & consumer businesses that we elect to work with – a clearly identifiable niche offering, for example, with a powerful consumer appeal that helps to drive cashflow and strong margins. And we also look for the protection of high barriers to entry, such as recognisable and sustainable branding, a high local profile or perhaps a unique location.
