We’re told it makes a refreshing change and it springs from our overall approach to business, which ensures you’ll always deal with at least one of our five-strong investment committee (David MacLellan, John Dillon, Richard Caston, Frank Bulman and Alex Hay).
Our focus means that we are highly selective about who we work with, making only a small number of high-quality investments each year. We choose established companies whose sectors we understand and who have experienced management teams with clear strategic plans.
Whilst those companies receive all the support and strategic advice they need, we don’t interfere with the day-to-day running – we’ve backed the management to do that.
The same RJD team stays involved post investment, adding value right through the investment stage and up to exit, providing continuity and allowing strong relationships to develop. You will always be dealing with a decision maker – we have short, effective lines of communication and we don’t hide in committees. This means that you’ll get quick but nevertheless rigorous responses and deliverable commitments.
